A web site on joint archeological researches with US scientists was opened

US University of Pennsylvania and Nakhchivan brunch of ANAS have started joint archeological researches “Nakhchivan Archeological Project” since 2006. During the last period, the international archeological expedition group researched 46 monuments in the autonomous republic. Meantime, wide scale researches were carried out in some ancient living places including the 2nd Kultepe, the 1st Makhta Kultepe and Oglangala. During the researches, large archeological remnants dating back from early the Bronze Age to the Middle Age were found. The archeological researches in Sherur region found out that there was an independent state in Arpachay valley during the Iron Age. www.itv.az
