US congressional committee approved resolution on Armenian genocide

We are glad for approval of Armenian genocide by US congressional committee, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told Reuters. He said this event showed that how much attention the Unites States pay for global human rights and it is a great step to put an end to criminals against mankind. 

It should be noted that it is under question whether the United States will recognize it. The document will be send to House of Representatives and Senate for discussion thenceforward. US President in office Barack Obama is considered a real president to recognize so-called Armenian genocide, because he promised it to millions of Armenians living in the Unites states on the eve of 2008 US Presidential elections. www.itv.az
