Inquiry Center started operating in Azerbaijan

The center has been created in accordance with terms and conditions of the WTO
agreement on “Technical barriers to trade”. The center, which will function
under the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent, includes
standards existing both in Azerbaijan and in the world, technical and other
norms. Deputy Head of the State Committee Shaig Abdullayev has stated that the
center is of great importance for Azerbaijan to become a member of the World
Trade Organization as soon as possible. www.itv.az
