Near 1 254 200 pensioners will benefit the order about increasing of base part
of pension

According to the order of the president of Azerbaijan the base part of pension
has been increased by 10 % from AZN 75 to 85 AZN beginning from September 1.
Salim Muslimov, Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund stressed that the
number of pensioners now in Azerbaijan is 1 291 139. It is expected to reach 1
291 308 till the end of the year. Majority of pensioners will benefit the order
of the president.The base part of pensions of 1 116 000 pensioners makes AZN 10,
pensions of I group disabilities makes AZN 12, the base part of pension for the
sight-impaired persons will increase by AZN 20. The pensions of some people
will increase more.Besides the pensions of I group war disabled people is
increased from AZN 150 to AZN 170, II group war disabled people from AZN 127 to
AZN 144 and for the III group people from AZN 112 to AZN 127. Great Patriotic
War disabled people are also taken into the consideration. So, the people from
this category for the first group disability will get not AZN 180 but AZN 204,
II group disable people will get AZN 178, III group disabled people AZN 161.
The state will add more 50 million manat till the end of the year. The base
part of the pensions reached minimum 106 dollars in Azerbaijan. With this
indicator Azerbaijan takes the second place among the CIS republics after
Kazakhstan.
