Today is National Day of Press in Azerbaijan

It was founded by Hasan bey Zerdabi in 1875

Today 135 years pass after the establishment of the national press of Azerbaijan which was founded by great thinker of Azerbaijan Hasan bay Zerdaby.  Due to the efforts of great fore runner Haydar Aliyev, a censorship was deleted. Media pluralism and freedom of expression were promoted. These views were sounded during the roundtable “Haydar Aliyev and development of the national press” which was held in Ataturk center. According to the results of questionnaires among respondents, media and public representatives were rewarded. Employees of Ictimai TV are among award winners.  www.itv.az
