The act of November 20 was committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis

On November 20, 1991 “Mi-8” helicopter was shot down by the Armenian terrorists over the Garakend settlement of the Khojavemd district of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. 22 persons including political and military figures of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, as well as other officials and journalists- Former State Secretary Tofig Ismayilov, Former Interior Minister Muhammed Esedov, General Prosecutor Ismet Gayibov, Deputy of Supreme Soviet Veli Memmedov, Zulfu Hajiyev, Head of President’s Administration Osman Mirzayev, tele-reporter Ali Mustafayev, and others on the board tragically died. A criminal case was launched on the fact in the prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan Military Garrison, however the inquiry was dropped. www.itv.az
