The region covering 145647 hectares area was occupied by Armenians on October
2nd, 1992. For its strategic importance, it was blockaded for a long time.
Armenians occupied the region due to Russian regiment number 366. During the
occupation of the region 145 people of the region became martyrs. 13 of them
were women, 13 were children. 123 people were taken hostage. www.itv.az
