Price of some food products has increased in the country within last days

According to trade objects, during last month the price of butter, depending on its kinds, has risen by 8-15%. Price of butter “anchor” has much risen. Its wholesale price has gone up from 6 manats to 7 manats. Zealand butter price has risen 0, 5 AZN per kilogram. Azerbaijani-made oils have gone up by 5-6%. 

The increase is also observed in granular sugar price. The wholesale price granular sugar per kilogram has increased from 0,7 manats to 0.83 manats, going up about 4 % within last month. The country’s main granular sugar producer “Azersun” explain it with the increase of world price of beet sugar. But the company assures that the increase in price is much lower than world prices, because the price rise in Azerbaijan is much lower than world price (25%). 

The price of cookies and flour products exported from neighboring countries has increased by 8-10 %, tinned fish by 4%.

Dairy products price has also risen. The price of most of Russian-made products and local products has gone up by 10 % www.itv.az.
