Common Turkic TV TRT AVAZ started airing

Common Turkic TV TRT AVAZ started airing in the Turkish capital Ankara.

The opining ceremony of the new channel was broadcasted live in all channels of TRT airing all over the world and in Ictimai TV of Azerbaijan. The main object of the channel, which will be followed by 250 million people, is to improve the relations among the brotherhood countries. The opening ceremony began with the videotape recordings describing the greetings of all Turkic Speaking Countries. Representatives of 7 Turkic Speaking Countries, ambassadors, intellectuals and the public also participated at the ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said we were glad that the opening of the new channel and Nevruz holiday were being celebrated together. New channel will be named by “TRT AVAZ”. The channel will be covered with the programs in the Azerbaijani, Turkish, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, and Turkmen languages and the programs will be presented by the representatives of these countries. Along with cultural and music programs which will be about the common values of the Turkic Speaking Countries, their series and films will be also aired on these channels. It was noted at the opening that TRT AVAZ to be broadcasted in nearly 30 countries will run in accordance with the interests of all Turkic Speaking Countries. After its official part, the ceremony continued with the performances of the popular artists of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Bosnia Herzegovina. Azerbaijan’s Honored Artist Azerin was firstly invited to the stage. Azerbaijan was represented at the ceremony with a great delegation. Azerbaijan’s national broadcaster Ictimai TV Head Ismayil Omarov and 5 employees of this organization were among the participants of the ceremony. It should be noted that Azerbaijan’s national broadcaster Ictimai TV also broadcasted live the opening ceremony of TRT AVAZ.
