TV of Turkish speaking countries to go on air soon
The Turkish delegation led by Ibrahim Shahin, Director General of TRT paid a visit to Baku.
Visiting Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, guests also met Director General Ismayil Omarov. Development of bilateral relations and establishment of Common Turkic Television were debated at the meeting. Director General Ismayil Omarov has told that successful relations between TRT and Public Television of Azerbaijan serve for the interests of the entire Turkic world.
“The Public Television of Azerbaijan has always been on friendly terms with TRT. The joint projects between TRT and the Public Television have already become a tradition,” added Director General Ismayil Omarov.
Recalling that TRT has always supported the Public Television to upgrade qualifications of the TV staff, Director General Ismayil Omarov has expressed his confidence in future support of TRT in holding trainings for both creative and technical staff of ITV.
Recalling that he paid a visit to the Public Television last year, Ibrahim Shahin said: “I am here to realize what we have discussed last time”. Speaking about the importance of the relations with the Public Television, the guest has underlined that TRT will always widen relations with the public broadcaster of Azerbaijan and support it. He also touched upon the establishment of Common Turkic Television and added that first, this TV channel would be formed on the basis of TRT and the Public Television of Azerbaijan and would go on air soon.
“This TV channel will serve for the interests of all Turkish speaking countries. We will take a historical step by establishing this channel. It will be useful for the entire Turkic world.” said Ibrahim Shahin, Director General of TRT.
Other important issues were also debated at the meting.
