Euronews is launching a new concept of customised cooperation aimed at media groups around the world that would like to benefit from Euronews’ expertise and reputation in terms of its credibility, programmes and resources. Euronews will offer network members multiple services adapted to their needs and goals.
The professionalism and reputation of Europe’s leading news channel is the key attraction for network members. The world-renowned quality of Euronews’ editorial line and the rigour of its 400 journalists of 23 different nationalities guarantee that the information it provides is reliable and objective, which is unique to Euronews and particularly appreciated by its partners.
It is within this context that Euronews and ICTIMAI TV, represented respectively by their Managing Directors Michael Peters and Ismayil Omarov, signed an agreement on 11 July 2011 in Paris. As a privileged member of the Euronews network, the Azerbaijan's public channel is also entitled to a premium offer which, among other things, includes the right to broadcast any Euronews programmes it chooses on its own channel. These advantages enable ICTIMAI TV to develop its offer to the greater benefit of its TV and internet viewers. Michael Peters, Managing Director of the Executive Board, on the Euronews network and the agreement with ICTIMAI TV: “The launch of this network emphasizes our channel’s international dimension and marks the creation of an unprecedented model of partnership with other media bodies. This first agreement with ICTIMAI TV offers fresh opportunities for cooperation and will considerably boost Euronews’ impact in the Caucasus, where Europe meets Asia. Euronews’ excellent reputation around the world, both in terms of its editorial line and its varied multimedia formats drives us to constantly seek new forms of exchange, in particular via the Euronews network.”
